preparation of primary neuronal cultures of rat cerebellar granule cells and hippocampal neurons, cultivation of cell lines (HEK293, PC12, HT22, hERG, CHO, NG-108); isolation and preparation of cell cultures of rat cortical astrocytes and meningeal fibroblasts, in vitro model of fibrotic scar; preparation of acute brain slices from CBA mice; methods of molecular biology: isolation of RNA, Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and evaluation of gene expression of Ca2+ tranporters, immunoprecipitation, Western blot, single and double imunofluorescence; patch clamp technique- monitoring excitability of hippocampal neurons in native tissue after drugs administration and  measurement of electrophysiological parameters of the cells (primary neuronal cultures, CHO, HEK293, NG-108, PC12, hERGs); transfection of CHO cells (investigation of G protein interactions) and HEK293 (gating of CaV3.-x channels); electron micsroscopy and monitoring of synaptic recycling vesicles; characterization of changes in mitochondrial dynamics (fusion and fission) and morphology (length) using confocal microscopy; measurement of cytosolic Ca2+ concentration
