The Week of Science and Technology, Bratislava

During the Week of Science and Technology in Slovakia we welcome undergraduate students of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and University of ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava to our organization. We communicated them various theoretical as well as experimental aspects of our scientific work. Our laboratories were visited also by children from a nursury school to stimulate their interest in science and research. (more…)

“Electrophysiological experimental techniques for ion channel study”
Marta Gaburjáková presented a short overview about modern electrophysiological experimental techniques currently used for ion channel investigation. The main purpose was to motivate and encourage students of Biophysics and Biomedical Physics to carry out their bachelor and diploma thesis projects at Institute of Molecular Physiology and Genetics in laboratories studying various ion channels.

Ľubica Lacinová presented her talk at conference on “Emerging Ethical Issues in Science and Technology” organized by UNESCO. She analyzed a possible opinion deviation of governmental advisory committees by the value orientation of advisors and possibilities how to minimize such deviation.

Ľubica Lacinová was invited to give a presentation at UNESCO conference. She analysed and discussed possible sources of modern bioethics acceptable by the modern society in various philosophical and religious systems.
