Conference 44. Medical Biophysics Days

From May 31st to June 2nd, 2023, the XLIV Medical Biophysics Days, an international conference, took place at the SAV Academia Congress Center in Stará Lesná. The conference aimed to present new findings and trends in the field of biophysics and the teaching of biophysics at universities. Our colleague, Matúš Tomko, PhD., actively participated in the conference, presenting his research in the form of a poster entitled “Effects of Maternal Depression on Neuronal Excitability in Offspring.” His presentation showcased results from the ongoing project “New Generation of Antidepressants – Long-term Effects on Offspring,” funded by the APVV. We are delighted to announce that Matúš received an award for the best scientific presentation in the category of young researchers under the age of 35. We congratulate him wholeheartedly and wish him continued success in his research.
